Vedica empowers urban, educated women who, as catalysts of change, create a more equal social, economic and political reality. Our mission is to enable women to lead lives of dignity through career-led financial independence. The core pillars of our operating framework are advocacy, awareness and action. These are actualized through our higher-education programme, the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women; and network of senior women professionals, the Vedica Women’s Alliance (V-WA). Vedica seeks to shape the ecosystem of ‘women and work’ to ensure a future for women with equal access, participation and influence at the workplace.
The Vedica Scholars Programme for Women is a unique alternative to the traditional MBA programme. The Programme’s mission is to prepare women with potential to achieve fulfilling careers, and create a cadre of successful women professionals for the 21st century. It is an 18-month full-time, residential programme with a re-imagined interdisciplinary curriculum that has been carefully crafted to the expectations of employers today.
Vedica Women’s Alliance (V-WA) is a membership-based network that aims to aggregate, advocate, and amplify voices of women leaders from across India, and build an ecosystem for women professionals to thrive. We aim to grow the cadre of professional women – in terms of numbers and influence. V-WA offers a credible platform for meaningful engagement between stakeholders – to create awareness and advocate for relevant issues and policy change.
We are dedicated to questioning everyday practices, thinking deeply of solutions, and utilizing the full potential of urban educated women to drive a gender-balanced era of growth. We inform, influence and implement towards this end.
